2008 WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Now in its fourth year, the Brownfield Briefing Remediation Awards recognise best practice in remediation and use of remediation technology throughout the UK.

Organised by Brownfield Briefing and Newzeye, the Awards are divided into categories that include the different remediation techniques; most innovative remediation method; and most sustainable remediation project.  

New for 2008 were awards for best communications and stakeholder engagements; and best recovery of land for heritage or community use.

All entries were assessed by an independent panel of experts from the remediation industry, members of the CL:AIRE Technology and Research Group and academia.

The winners were announced at a gala dinner held at the Radisson SAS Portman Hotel, London on Tuesday 16 September 2008.

Our host for the dinner was Chris Baines, one of UK's leading environmental campaigners, advising government and industry on environmental practice.
