Categories for 2008
1. Best use of a single remediation technique
2. Best use of a combination of remediation techniques
3. Best conceptual design
4. Most innovative remediation method
5. Best project closure/verification process
6. Most sustainable remediation project
7. Best communication/stakeholder engagement (NEW for 2008)
8. Best recovery of land for heritage/community use (NEW for 2008)
Any person or organisation, including those directly involved with the nominated scheme or project, may submit an entry. All entries are free. Nominations for categories 1 to 3 may also enter for category 4 - Most innovative remediation method OR category 6, Most sustainable remediation project - but you will need to submit a separate entry form for each category.
To enter, simply download, complete and return the entry form stating clearly which category the scheme or project is being entered for. Provide a supporting statement of not more than four sides of A4, including a short paragraph under each of the criteria headings (see entry form for details).

Criteria
Applications will be accepted for the following schemes/projects:
- Any UK or other European site/project for all categories conducted by a company with a base and operation capability in the UK
- Either full-scale commercial projects or pilot trials
- Commenced and/or completed between 2007 and 2008 (and not previously entered in same category in previous years)
- In the case of category 5, “Best project closure/verification process” – process should be continuing in 2008 for any project completed before 31/12/2007
- All entries should be submitted electronically attached to an email.
Closing date for entries is 1 August, 2008
Judging
All entries will be assessed by an independent panel of experts. The judges’ decision will be final and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into.
